Continuing our quest to brew loaaaads of new beers this year, we’ve added another to the list this month!
We picked a style we’ve never tried before, but shaken it up in signature style. Say hello to White Label! We’re brewing this Amplified White Mild today!
White Label is a mild like no other. Instead of ramming this ale with the big, punchy hops that we love, we’ve let the malts do the talking and amplified them with small additions of coffee and cocoa nibs.
The result is an easy-drinking, light beer with a malty smoothness and hints of roast.
It’s the only new beer we’ll be brewing this month, but we do have one that’s returning after just over two years! Please welcome back Sonic Boom!
Named after the special move of Guile and Charlie, this is a 6.8% red IPA with flavour that hits you like a tank.
Packed full of Citra and caramelly malts, you’ll be floored by how drinkable this resinous and fruity little devil can be.
Both beers will be available in the last week of April and throughout May – and both will of course be appearing at the Urban Tap House bars in Cardiff and Newport!

We’ve been exporting our beer to Australia on and off for a few years now but the demand for Tiny Rebel there has been growing. So much so that to keep up with the demand we’ve teamed up with a new importer Down Under (Maverick Imports) who are permanently going to be stocking Cwtch in Keg, as well as our bottle products, and launching it in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney within the coming months.
The first shipment will see over 15,000 pints leave South Wales to make an 11,000+ mile perambulation to New South Wales.
This is not just a historic journey for us but one for our keg operator, Kegstar. Kegstar are an Australia-based keg rental company who are expanding their operation to the UK and we’re chuffed to be the first UK brewery to use their services for export!
Another big week for us here at Tiny Rebel. After the massive result back in August with Cwtch winning Champion Beer of Britain, we’ve been riding high on a wave of excitement. It’s one of the biggest awards in the British beer industry. Chuffed is an enormous understatement.
You don’t often win another as big as that.
But yesterday we were informed of another big award.
We were awarded Brewery Business of the Year, the top gong, at SIBA Beer X.
The Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) represents the interests of independent breweries across the UK. It is terrific to have been given this award by a body that represents our peers and colleagues in the brewing industry.
A big, big thank you goes to all of the judges who looked at our entries for the categories and decided to put us in for the top award.
A huge thank you too to our customers and loyal drinkers that have helped get our beer into pubs up and down the country.
It wasn’t the only award we took home from SIBA Beer X either. Urban Tap House won UK’s Best Independent Craft Beer Bar or Pub (City).
That completes an extraordinary trilogy of wins for us at Tiny Rebel over the last eight months. At the present moment in time, we are the holders of
It really is a dream come true and we are beyond over the moon that all our hard work is being appreciated by so many people across the country.
A big thanks to both our staff behind the bars, behind the scenes at the brewery and to our drinkers! There’s plenty more to come from us – this is only the start!
I HAVE THE POWEEEERRR!
What are you doing this Friday night? Cancel it! Head down to Urban Tap House Newport to join us for the launch of a very special beer.
Our 1000th brew has been bubbling away for a couple of weeks, and it’s finally ready to take on Skeletor and his cronies! Let us introduce you to POWER OF GRAYSKULL.
This roasty, heavily hopped black IPA is a whopping 8.5%. We’ll be at our Newport bar from 6pm on Friday 18th to celebrate this milestone brew with our customers. See you there!
After a busy February with events pretty much every weekend, there’s only one way to recover – MORE EVENTS!
March is already looking very exciting, with a couple of big things happening, all at the same time!
From the 15th – 19th March, we will be undertaking an ambitious project with our friends down at Brighton Bier. We’re heading down to the south coast to celebrate the launch of our collaboration beer – a deliciously dark Cascadian Kolsch.
Let us introduce you to PROJECT MAYHEM.
This sinister little beauty will be available on cask and keg, with more of our beers joining it at not one, not two, but SIX pubs across Brighton! Forget a Tap Takeover – this will be the first (as far as we know) Town Takeover!
You’ll find Tiny Rebel beer at Brighton Beer Dispensary, Watchmakers Arms, North Laine, Hand In Hand, Evening Star and Black Dove simultaneously that week, including specials from us such as Pina Colada, Clwb Tropicana, Lupulin Fiasco and, of course, Project Mayhem.
We’ll kick things off with a Meet the Brewer at Brighton Beer Dispensary on Tuesday 15th March from 7pm – if you’ll be there and have a question you’d like to ask in advance, drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org!
The takeover coincides with Sussex Beer Festival, running from 17th-19th March. Project Mayhem will be there, plus Cwtch, Dirty Stop Out and more beers from Brighton Bier!
Here’s a handy Ale Trail map for you to get to all six pubs.
Remember, the first rule of Ale Trail Club is to bring all your mates and go to all six pubs for some awesome beers!
The very next day, we’ll be hosting a Tap Take Over and Meet the Brewer in Sheffield as part of Sheffield Beer Week!
Four cask and four keg beers will dominate the bar at The Bath Hotel, which will serve as the starting point for a mini pub trail. We’ve got a lot of our specials and one-off brews heading up, and it will be your last chance to try most of them!
We’re looking forward to meeting fans from the south coast and up north – it’s going to be a busy week, so we best get packing!

We started off as homebrewers and we still homebrew whenever we can. Still to this day most of our new beers start off as a test batch on our homebrew kit before being scaled up to the main brewhouse.
The UK homebrew community has grown from strength to strength in the last few years and back in the day when we had no ambition to set up a commercial brewery it provided us with a lot of guidance to fine tune our techniques and along with our own research in to all aspects of beer and brewing it helped us to a pretty decent standard of homebrewing. This in turn sparked the idea for Tiny Rebel when we were bottling back in the garage one sunday afternoon.
We now want to give something back…
So we’re releasing a no-nonsense, beginner friendly homebrew kit to make your own Champion Beer of Britain!
We’ve teamed up with homebrew kit experts Muntons to develop this liquid malt extract kit that is perfect for those who have always wanted give homebrewing a go or even homebrew now but live such hectic lifestyles that a 6 hour brew in a garage every weekend isn’t doable. Extract brewing is the simplest way to learn the basics and progress onto kits that introduce the next steps. Who knows, in four years time, your beer might be awarded Champion Beer of Britain!
The kit will allow you to brew 36 pints of delicious Cwtch. A couple of hours brewing – with a few weeks of patience – will have you fully stocked with our lovely 4.6% Welsh Red Ale. The perfect amount to share with friends, or keep all to yourself. After all, you put in all the hard work.
The kit will be available from highstreet stores, specialist homebrew shops, our online store from April and our Urban Tap House Bars.
If you missed it first time round, which is quite likely given that it sold out in 36 hours, we have some great news!
That’s right! After huge success and awesome reception, we’re brewing more of our sweet, roasty porter to last through these cold months, so this could be the last chance you get until after summer!
It’s proven one of our most popular brews of late, with literally hundreds of requests on Twitter, Facebook, over email and in person!
While at Beavertown’s 4th Birthday bash, we were inundated with requests. We hadn’t even taken any down with us, but people that had heard about it kept coming up just on the off-chance.
Last week, at the National Winter Ale Festival in Derby, it took just three hours for an 18 gallon barrel to go completely, and we were extremely happy to hear from many attendees that it was their beer of the festival.
We’ve been inundated with requests over social media and email and customers in our Urban Tap Houses have been asking the staff when we’ll have it back since it finished a fortnight ago.
We’re brewing a bit more of this sweet, roasty porter this time to get it to those who missed out last time. Drop us a line on the usual channels, or contact your preferred wholesaler to see if they can get their hands on some.
We’re now taking pre-orders!
To get hold of some, please contact us using the following email addresses:
Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and Bristol – email@example.com
Rest of the UK (shipping and wholesale)- firstname.lastname@example.org
or give the brewery a call on 01633 547378

After listening to feedback from DEPOT and our own customers, we have decided to postpone the 2016 Brewfest until the August bank holiday weekend, with the new dates being:
Friday 26th August – Sunday 28th August 2016 @ Depot.
Over the end of May bank holiday weekend, Friday 27th – Sunday 29th , the DEPOT will be holding their Street Food Social and rugby screening Fanhub, but with a little preview taster of Brewfest 2016. This will include a pop-up, long bar with a selection of craft beers chosen by us, to give our craft beer and rugby fans a little bit of the best of both!
Anyone who has already purchased tickets to Brewfest 2016 can keep them until the August date, or contact us for a full refund.
See you on August Bank Holiday!
We’ve restocked our online shop! That means there is plenty more Cwtch available now! Get it while you can!
Joining it is Cali, which is now available online for the first time. It’s a 5.6% West Coast American Pale Ale that is super-duper fruity, with lots of tropical flavours to it. It’s bangin’!
They join Bo’Ho, FUBAR, Hadouken and Dirty Stop Out to make up a fantastic selection of our core range. Who needs exercise when you can have the best six-pack ever through the post?
