It’s been a while since we got involved with a charity event but we’re chuffed to bits to get involved in an Army Bootcamp Challenge at Crickhowell Army Base on 13th September. We’re putting the beer down and donning camo gear, because we’re nuts like that. Anyone who’s dabbled in military exercises before will know it’s not going to be the most relaxing of
54321 Cymru are proud to announce details of its very first Army Bootcamp Challenge, to be held from 10am until 4pm on Sunday, 13th September 2015 (Registration from 9.30am).
Set on the Cwrt Y Gollen Army Base Camp (just outside Crickhowell, NP8 1TH) this event will not only be a great day out for all the family but also a great fundraiser for our two charities, St. David’s Hospice and ‘For Luca’. Team Rebel will be on-hand with beers and the Urban Tap House kitchen team will sort out the BBQ, and there will be activities to keep the kids amused too!
The event is for teams of 6 (£600 minimum entry per team) to test themselves against the army’s assault course, which we obviously can’t wait to get into. Each team will have a ‘trial’ run of the course, instructed by Captain Smith and his colleagues, before the timed team competition begins! We are limited to 27 teams so please enter early to avoid disappointment.
Below is a flyer with further details of the day, please ask firstname.lastname@example.org for an entry form who will point you in the right direction. Please note a deposit of £60 per team is required to secure your space, and all team members must be aged 18 or over.
See you there! We’re off to lift some firkins.
